Resumption of University Tuition Coverage for Children of Employees in Governmental and Security Institutions

SadaNews - Today, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Amjad Barham, announced an agreement with Palestinian higher education institutions (universities) to resume the coverage of university fees and tuition for the children of employees working in governmental and security institutions, continuing the step aimed at alleviating their financial burdens in light of the current economic conditions.

Barham emphasized that this agreement enhances what was previously adopted as a guideline aimed at appreciating the resilience of employees and ensuring the continuity of their children's educational journey without financial obstacles, noting that these fees will be deducted from the employees' entitlements according to clear and specific mechanisms.

The ministry clarified that applications to benefit from this arrangement will be submitted via an electronic platform starting from tomorrow, Wednesday, February 4, 2026, until Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The required document will be delivered to the university for registration of employees from governmental departments and schools after they personally attend the offices of the educational directorates they belong to and sign the authorization form.

As for the security personnel, the required document will be delivered to the university for registration through the military finance, during the period from Thursday, February 5, 2026, until Thursday, February 12, 2026.
