Sheikh Welcomes Efforts to Form Gaza Administration Committee
SadaNews - Palestinian Vice President Hussein Sheikh welcomed on Wednesday the efforts made by U.S. President Donald Trump, Special Peace Envoy Steve Wittecoff, Jared Kushner, Nikolai Mladenov, and both the Arab Republic of Egypt and Qatar and Turkey to transition to the second phase in the Gaza Strip and form the Palestinian administrative committee there.
Sheikh confirmed in a tweet via the "X" platform the Palestinian Authority's firm stance on the necessity of maintaining the ceasefire, expediting the entry of relief and aid, opening crossings, starting recovery and reconstruction, withdrawing Israeli forces, and preserving the unity of the homeland and the people.
It is expected that the new committee will be announced today or tomorrow, Thursday.
