The Central Committee of the "Fatah" Movement Holds a Meeting in Ramallah
SadaNews - The Central Committee of the "Fatah" Movement held a meeting yesterday evening, Sunday, at the Mobilization and Organization headquarters in Ramallah.
The Central Committee reviewed the ongoing political moves regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip and the attempts by the occupation authorities to divide the strip and amputate parts of it. It affirmed its complete rejection of these measures that violate international legitimacy and international law, which the world has condemned and rejected, stressing that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestinian land, just like the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
The "Fatah" Central Committee warned of the dangers of the assaults carried out by the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Palestine, which include killing, destruction, ongoing settlement, and the theft of Palestinian land, attempts at annexation, and racial expansion, as well as incursions into cities, towns, villages, and camps across the West Bank, the destruction of dozens of citizens' homes, the systematic destruction of infrastructure in those areas, road closures, the establishment of barriers and iron gates, and the isolation of areas from each other, in addition to the terror of settlers that occurs with the support and protection of the occupation forces against citizens and their properties.
The Central Committee also discussed the work of the preparatory committee for the eighth conference of the movement, emphasizing the necessity for the subcommittees to expedite their work.
The Central Committee pointed out that it is following up on the issue of prisoners with all relevant authorities.
It also discussed the ongoing preparations for the municipal and village elections across the homeland.
The Central Committee decided to remain in permanent session to follow up and address the issues it discussed in order to bolster the resilience of our people and preserve their national unity within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the legitimate representative of our people, and to uphold its independent national decision.
