251 Arab fatalities since the beginning of the year: Two Arab Khawald killed in a shooting incident
SadaNews - Mohammed Saleh Khawald and Qasim Youssef Khawald (46 and 31 years old) from Arab Khawald were killed in a shooting incident this morning, Friday, near the village close to Haifa in the Galilee region, northern Israel; bringing the number of fatalities in the Arab community since the beginning of the year to 251, including 14 this month.
According to the available information, the bodies of the two men, who were on their way to work, were found in the nearby bushes, shot while inside their vehicle, and medical teams had to announce their deaths.
The medical teams reported that they were alerted about two injured men in an open area near Khawald in the Carmel region. Upon arrival, the paramedics found the two men, in their thirties, had succumbed to their severe stab wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics Mohammed Hussein and Tal Sagi stated: "We received a call about two injured men. We arrived at the site and found them unconscious, with no pulse or breathing, suffering from stab wounds. We conducted the necessary medical examinations, but their injuries were severe, thus we had to declare them dead at the scene."
Last night, Zaid Nasr Isa Amara (48 years old) from Kfar Kana was shot and killed while driving a vehicle in the town of Ilut near Nasareth.
14 fatalities in the Arab community this month
There have been 14 murder cases recorded in the Arab community in December, while 22 murder cases were recorded in November.
The victims this month include the two victims of the double homicide near Arab Khawald this morning, as well as Maher Zaraki from Kfar Kana, Ayoub Al-Musalha from Shaqib al-Salam, Mohammed Abdul Rahman Ighbareya from Mismas, Emad Bakara from Tir’an, Zaid Shalabi from Iksal, Anan Salman from Ramla, Riyad Salem from Deir Hanna, Mahmoud Akawi from Tamra, Khalid and his son Majd Mahajna from Yafa Al-Nasirah, Mahmoud Haybi from Basmat Tab'un, and Zaid Nasr Isa Amara from Kfar Kana.
251 Arab fatalities since the start of the year
With this double homicide near Arab Khawald, the number of murder victims in the Arab community since the beginning of the year has reached 251, connected to crime and violence, including 23 women, and 251 citizens, and three residents.
Data indicates that 213 people were killed by gunfire, with 122 of the victims being under the age of thirty, including seven who were under 18, along with 23 women. There have also been 13 cases of killings by police gunfire recorded.
These shocking statistics reflect the scale of the rising crime in the Arab community, amid the complicity and negligence of the police and government authorities in performing their role in combating crime and ensuring security and safety for Arab citizens.
