Man in his Forties Killed in Tamra in Shooting Incident
SadaNews - A 43-year-old man was killed in Tamra after being shot in a crime that took place in the city, while another person was seriously injured in a similar crime committed in the town of Bir al-Maksur in the Galilee region of northern Israel.
The medical team "Al-Zahrawi" announced the death of the person after he succumbed to his serious injuries, following unsuccessful attempts to revive him after the shooting incident in Tamra.
In Bir al-Maksur, a medical team that arrived at the crime scene reported that "they received a report about the injury of a 23-year-old young man."
The medical team stated that its members were transporting the young man to "Rambam Hospital," where he was in critical condition, as he was sedated and connected to a respirator, confirming that he "suffered from penetrating injuries" that pierced his body.
Two paramedics from the team said that "the injured person was conscious, but he suffered from serious penetrating injuries to his body, and we provided him with life-saving medical treatment, including sedation, and transported him to the hospital in stable condition."
The death toll in the Arab community has risen to 245 since the beginning of this year amid a dangerous and ongoing escalation of crime, including organized crime.
Data indicates that 205 people were shot dead, among whom were 122 victims under the age of thirty, including seven who were under 18 and 23 women.
Thirteen cases of killings by police bullets were also recorded.
These shocking figures reflect the scale of crime escalation in the Arab community, amid complicity and negligence by the police and government agencies in fulfilling their role in combating crime and ensuring security and safety for Arab citizens.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and ministers in his government presented security justifications on Monday for their decision to cut hundreds of millions of shekels from the budgets of the five-year plan for the Arab community, linking the move to what they described as "combating crime" and "removing weapons."
Netanyahu stated in a video alongside National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Minister of Social Equality May Golan that the "big problem" is "crime," adding: "We need additional forces and resources to address it."
Netanyahu claimed that the government decided to cut a portion of the budget for plan "550," stating: "We made a decision to take part of the budget of plan 550, about 200 million shekels and a little more, for the sake of strengthening law enforcement and addressing crime in the Arab community."
