Minister Shahin Meets the First Deputy Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament

SadaNews - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Farsin Agabkian Shahin, met with the First Deputy Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament, Bernard Ahiavor, in the presence of several parliament members and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, along with the Ambassador of Palestine to the Republic of Ghana, Abdel Fattah Al-Satari.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Shahin emphasized the commitment of the State of Palestine to enhance bilateral relations with the Republic of Ghana at various levels, discussing the signing of memorandums of understanding and holding future political consultations. She expressed gratitude to the Ghanaian government, represented by President John Dramani Mahama, for its supportive positions towards Palestine, especially in international forums and the United Nations, appreciating the support of the Ghanaian people for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and expressing her appreciation for the humanitarian aid provided by the Republic of Ghana to the Gaza Strip.

For his part, Ahiavor welcomed the minister and the accompanying delegation, affirming the importance of the visit in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and pointing to the depth of the historical friendship linking Palestine and Ghana. The accompanying delegation members also affirmed their full solidarity with the Palestinian people and their rejection of the genocide war on Gaza, highlighting its catastrophic impacts, especially on women and children, and the deprivation of thousands of children from their right to education over the past two years.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance future cooperation in several fields, including education, health, and agriculture, in addition to technical cooperation, capacity building, and vocational training.
