Fatah's Central Committee Holds Meeting to Discuss Latest Political Developments and Organizational Issues of the Movement
SadaNews - The Central Committee of the "Fatah" Movement held a meeting yesterday evening, at the mobilization and organization headquarters.
During the meeting, discussions took place on the latest developments in the political situation, and the issues concerning our people, foremost of which are the ongoing assaults by the occupation army and the terrorism of settlers on cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank, alongside the failure of the occupation forces to abide by the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and the continuation of airstrikes and other actions in the displacement camps, in addition to the suffering of our people in Gaza due to the obstruction of aid, which has exacerbated their hardships from the weather conditions and floods that have inundated tens of thousands of tents and hundreds of dilapidated buildings.
The Central Committee also discussed the formation of emergency committees that were decided to be established in Gaza, as well as the humanitarian relief efforts needed by our people in the sector, in addition to discussing several issues regarding the conditions of our people in the camps of Lebanon.
Several organizational issues were addressed, foremost among them the work of the preparatory committee for the eighth conference of the "Fatah" movement, where it was emphasized on the necessity of resuming its work and overcoming obstacles to facilitate the quick convening of the eighth conference. The Central Committee was also informed about the law on local council elections and the preparations underway to hold these elections on the date set by the Palestinian government and overcoming any obstacles that might impede that.
The Central Committee discussed issues related to the brave prisoners from all aspects, and removing any obstacles that may arise regarding that, expressing its deep concern about the systematic violations faced by our brave prisoners in occupation prisons that affect their lives, particularly what the leader and fighter, member of the Central Committee of the "Fatah" Movement, Marwan Barghouti, is facing from serious assaults by the occupation authorities, led by the criminal Ben Gvir.
The Central Committee also addressed some internal issues of the movement, especially financial issues and mobilization and organization, assigning a number of its members to follow up on the implementation of the decisions made regarding those issues.
Additionally, the Central Committee discussed the political conditions surrounding our national cause, especially regarding the aftermath of the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and the continued resistance to all Israeli attempts to annex the West Bank and the settlers' theft of its lands under the complete sponsorship of the occupation government, emphasizing that achieving security and stability in the region requires the realization of Palestinian statehood with its capital in East Jerusalem on the borders of June 4, 1967, in accordance with what international legitimacy and the Arab peace initiative have approved.
