Family Forced to Self-Demolish Their Home in Tamra
SadaNews - This morning, Tuesday, the Qazmus family in the city of Tamra self-demolished their home after receiving an order from the Israeli occupation authorities to carry out the demolition within a few hours.
The family's decision to self-demolish was made to avoid the exorbitant costs usually imposed when demolition orders are carried out using machinery and bulldozers from the Ministry of the Interior, which include operational costs, police escort, and additional fines.
This step falls within the context of the ongoing demolition policy faced by dozens of Arab families in occupied Palestine, under the pretext of unlicensed construction, amid continuous restrictions on planning and expansion opportunities in Arab towns.
