Italian Interior Ministry and Defense Ministry Renew Technical Cooperation Agreement for Training Palestinian Security Forces
SadaNews - Under the patronage of Interior Minister Ziyad Hebrih, and in the presence of the Italian Consul General Domenico Bilato, the Interior Ministry renewed today, Wednesday, the technical cooperation agreement with the Italian Defense Ministry regarding the training of Palestinian security forces, in cooperation with the Italian Carabinieri team working in Palestine.
The agreement was signed on the Palestinian side by the security assistant to the Interior Minister, Major General Dr. Muhammad Jabreeni, while it was signed on behalf of the Carabinieri team by General Andrea Torzani.
The agreement stipulates the implementation of basic and advanced training programs for members of the security forces, covering areas of community policing, emergency techniques, public order management, and cultural heritage protection, in addition to other training fields.
This step comes as part of enhancing the partnership between the Interior Ministry and the Italian Carabinieri forces, and reaffirms the ministry's commitment to developing the capabilities of its staff and investing in human resources to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Palestinian security forces.
