Ramallah and Al-Bireh Forces Call for Participation in Solidarity Events

SadaNews - The national and Islamic forces in Ramallah and Al-Bireh have called for increased popular participation from the various national, popular, civil, syndicate, women's, and student frameworks, as well as all sectors and groups, in the activities scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, across many governorates. The scheduled event tomorrow at twelve noon will see a gathering in front of the Al-Bireh Cultural Center, followed by a march to the heart of my city, Ramallah and Al-Bireh, affirming the Palestinian people's commitment to their legitimate and inalienable national rights, including their right of return to their homeland according to UN Resolution 194, and their right to self-determination and national independence in a fully sovereign state with Jerusalem as its capital, as guaranteed by all UN resolutions.

The forces emphasized, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, their salute to all the free people of the world who take to the streets through various events, reinforcing that the world’s message is to achieve transitional justice that allows for holding the occupying power accountable for its continuous crimes against our people over two years of open genocide and war crimes. There is a need to activate international law to contribute to stopping the arrogance and aggression in the Palestinian West Bank and Gaza Strip, in relation to the ongoing daily executions and the escalation of settler attacks on villages and towns, farmers, the closure of roads, daily harassment, arson, and organized attacks against our people as part of the implementation of the occupation’s annexation and liquidation plan, as stated in their statement.

They stressed that this year's events highlight the strong connection between the crimes of occupation and genocide and what is happening to the female and male prisoners in the occupation's jails through systematic executions, daily brutal torture, reduction of food quantity and quality, and linking this to what is happening in the corridors of the occupation's (Knesset), where a law for the execution of prisoners is being passed as a war crime and a racist legislation that reflects the fascism of the occupation and its disregard for international law. In this context, they call for considering prisoners as a significant part of all local, regional, and international events, representing the cause of global and humanitarian conscience.

They demanded a global movement to expand in order to provide international protection and hold the occupying power accountable, which are two essential components in the Palestinians' aspiration to achieve justice and rectify the historical injustice inflicted upon our people, who continue to pay a heavy price for achieving their freedom and national independence, as stated in their declaration.

They called for a wide global front to end the occupation in all its forms and to work under the auspices of the United Nations to achieve justice and peace based on ensuring legitimate rights, leading serious and tangible efforts to provide international protection from the lawlessness and gangs of settlers, with the protection of the occupying army and its directives and guards, as well as with official decisions from the pillars of the far-right government.
