Statement Issued by the Ministry of Interior Regarding the Mechanism for Issuing Passports for High School Students in the Gaza Strip
SadaNews - The Ministry of Interior announced that the Palestinian Bar Association - Gaza Strip branches has been approved as an official entity to receive passport applications for high school students for the academic year 2024-2025, as part of the facilities provided for students and organizing the application submission process to ensure speed and quality of follow-up.
The Ministry of Interior explained in a statement this evening, Monday, that the implementation of this mechanism will begin starting from the day after tomorrow, Wednesday.
The statement added that the application submission process will be as follows:
-Receiving Applications:
Students will receive application forms accompanied by personal photos from the accredited service offices in the Gaza Strip, at a fee of only 20 shekels for each application.
-Submitting Applications:
After completing the data and attaching the required documents, applications will be officially submitted at the Bar Association headquarters as follows:
-Gaza: Al-Rimal neighborhood - Al-Lulu complex - first floor - Unknown Soldier area.
-Middle Governorate: Al-Nuseirat - Al-Nuseirat Services Club - first floor.
The ministry noted that the Bar Association will deliver the applications to the Ministry of Interior according to the established procedures, for a fee of only 230 shekels for each passport application.
The Ministry of Interior stressed the importance of adherence by service offices and students to the issued instructions and not collecting any unapproved fees, emphasizing that any new instructions or updates will be announced through the ministry's official channels.
The ministry appreciated the fruitful cooperation with the Palestinian Bar Association, which contributes to serving students and facilitating the completion of their academic future requirements.
