Workshop Held to Discuss Banking Week Activities for Children and Youth for 2026
SadaNews - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in collaboration with the Monetary Authority and the Banking Association in Palestine, held a workshop to discuss and evaluate the activities of the Banking Week for Children and Youth for the year 2025, and to begin preparations for the next session in 2026.
Attending the workshop were Dr. Sadiq Khudour, Assistant Undersecretary for Student Affairs at the Ministry of Education, Mr. Bashar Yasin, General Director of the Banking Association, and Mr. Ahmed Abu Aliya, representing the Monetary Authority, along with a group of cultural activity supervisors from various directorates.
The workshop included a review of the results of the Banking Week activities for 2025, which showed significant engagement from students with the "Masrafi" financial awareness application, with a total of 27,848 students using the application.
The workshop also discussed proposals for the activities of 2026, which focused on expanding financial knowledge for seventh, eighth, and ninth-grade students, including the integration of financial technology and providing banking information in an interactive manner suitable for the targeted age group. Additionally, it aimed to enhance the "Masrafi" application by improving its educational and awareness content, making it easier for students to access modern financial concepts, including electronic payments, digital wallets, and methods of protection against financial fraud.
