The Jerusalem Heritage House prepares primary healthcare points in the outskirts of Jerusalem with first aid supplies and light medical equipment
SadaNews - The Jerusalem Heritage House, affiliated with the Jerusalem Committee under the presidency of King Mohammed VI of Morocco, completed yesterday (Sunday) the process of equipping primary healthcare points in the villages and Bedouin settlements around Jerusalem with first aid supplies and light medical equipment, to enhance the readiness of these facilities and prepare them to deal with emergencies and urgent cases.
The operation, which was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs and the Jerusalem Governorate, targeted the Bedouin villages near the village of Jab’a, the village of Mikhmas, the Jahalin Bedouin gathering in the "Abu Hindi" valley, and the Al-Muntar Bedouin gathering. It included equipment for measuring blood pressure, diabetes testing, breathing devices, along with stretchers, medical beds, crutches, and other first aid supplies.
On this occasion, the Deputy Governor of Jerusalem, Abdullah Siyam, noted that "the partnership between the governorate and the agency establishes healthcare services within the framework of care and emergency response, which is of utmost importance in the circumstances faced by our Palestinian community in the deserts, villages, and cities."
He added, "There is another step being arranged concerning training those in charge of the healthcare points to provide first aid to those in need."
For his part, the head of the Bedouin gathering in Sahl Jab’a, Mohammed K’abneh, affirmed that the provided first aid tools are "very important at this time, as we face daily assaults from settlers, and these tools help us a lot until an ambulance arrives at the scene of the attack," expressing hope that the support would include all Bedouin gatherings that "suffer the same conditions, especially with the presence of military barriers that hinder ambulance access."
Likewise, the head of the "Abu Hindi" valley gathering, located between Jerusalem and the town of Al-Eizariya, Mohammed Al-Hmadeen, praised the efforts of the Jerusalem Heritage House in supporting patients and those in need. He said, "We are in dire need of increased support to bolster the resilience of the region's residents, numbering around seventy families, living among settlements that greatly complicate life."
