Ambassador Laith Aref Briefs German Minister of Labor and SPD President on Developments in Palestine
SadaNews - Ambassador Laith Aref discussed with German Minister of Labor and President of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), Barbel Basch, the political and field developments in Palestine, and the political efforts being made at various levels.
During the meeting, Ambassador Aref emphasized the importance of developing the German position towards recognizing the State of Palestine, also calling for decisive measures to stop the serious violations committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem.
Ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Palestine and Germany were also discussed, along with a review of the reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip.
Ambassador Aref praised the German commitment to significantly contribute to reconstruction efforts and its role in developmental and humanitarian assistance, stressing that these efforts should be accompanied by equally clear political stances.
This meeting comes as part of the intensive diplomatic efforts led by the State of Palestine, in tireless endeavors to bridge perspectives with various advanced levels in German decision-making, aiming to gather political, legal, and humanitarian support for the Palestinian cause and to enhance bilateral relations.
