Hebron Education and Reconstruction Committee Discuss Ways to Restore Water Wells in 13 Schools in the Old Town
SadaNews - The General Director of Education and Higher Education in Hebron, Atef Al-Jamal, and the General Director of the Hebron Reconstruction Committee, Muhannad Al-Jaabari, discussed today, Wednesday, the mechanism for restoring water wells in 13 schools from the Old Town and ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides, which would contribute to improving the educational environment in the schools of the Old Town.
Both sides emphasized the importance of enabling the 13 schools in the Old Town to restore their private water wells and provide them with regular water supply, ensuring the sustainability of basic services in these schools, alongside discussing the provision of equipped first aid kits in schools to support the health and medical emergencies of students and staff.
The two parties also discussed ways to implement recreational and interactive activities targeting school students, to enhance their engagement in the educational process and increase their motivation to learn in a safe and stimulating environment.
Both sides stressed the importance of providing electric chairs for students with mobility disabilities in the schools of the Old Town, ensuring their full integration into the educational process, in addition to supplying schools with firefighting and public safety tools as part of a comprehensive plan to enhance school security and safety.
Al-Jamal praised the national and humanitarian role of the Hebron Reconstruction Committee in safeguarding and developing the Old Town and its educational institutions, affirming that this collaboration reflects a true partnership between educational and national institutions.
He stated, "Through this partnership, we aim to ensure a safe and healthy educational environment for our students and to provide the components of psychological and social support for them amid the difficult conditions they live in."
For his part, the General Director of the Hebron Reconstruction Committee affirmed the committee's ongoing readiness to support the educational sector in the Old Town, noting that this cooperation comes within the committee's responsibility to maintain the sustainability of educational institutions and the services provided to students.
He said, "We are working in conjunction with the Education Directorate to provide a safe and healthy school environment, including infrastructure, water, maintenance, and public safety, to ensure that the educational process continues without obstacles, benefiting both students and educational staff."
The two parties agreed to arrange mechanisms for implementing developmental programs and projects according to their priorities, ensuring a direct positive impact on the schools in the Old Town.
