Mustafa Discusses Latest Developments and Strengthening Joint Cooperation with the Foreign Minister of Singapore
SadaNews - The Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa discussed today, Tuesday, in his office in Ramallah, with the Foreign Minister of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan, the latest developments and field updates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank including Jerusalem, in addition to strengthening cooperation and issues of mutual interest.
Mustafa emphasized that any transitional arrangements in the Gaza Strip must comply with the New York Declaration and lead to enabling the State of Palestine with its official institutions to operate on the ground in the sector, and to unify it between the West Bank and Gaza Strip, within the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and to establish their independent state.
The Prime Minister provided a detailed explanation regarding Israel's ongoing steps to undermine all Palestinian efforts through barriers, the occupation of camps in the northern West Bank, daily assaults by the occupation forces and settlers, and the detention of Palestinian tax revenues.
Mustafa praised Singapore's continued support for Palestine at all levels, pointing to the importance of joint cooperation for the recovery and advancement of the Palestinian national economy.
For his part, the Foreign Minister of Singapore affirmed his country's support for efforts to establish a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the introduction of humanitarian and relief assistance to the sector, support for peace efforts and achieving a two-state solution, in addition to providing technical support and building the capacities and institutions of Palestine, and delivering humanitarian and relief aid.
