Demonstration in Colleferro – Rome Rejecting Weapons Exports to the Occupation with the Participation of Fatah Movement and Italian Solidarity Forces

SadaNews - Italian solidarity forces organized a demonstration and mass march in the city of Colleferro, near the Italian capital Rome, with the participation of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) – Italy Region, along with several institutions and the Palestinian community in Rome, in rejection of the export of weapons and missiles to the Israeli occupation state. The march started from the city center towards the weapons and missiles factory in Colleferro, which is considered one of the largest factories in Europe, where participants raised banners at the factory entrances demanding an end to the sale and export of weapons to the occupation, which has led to the killing of children and civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, and accountability for those involved in supporting aggression against the Palestinian people. In his speech during the event, Dr. Imad Ali, Secretary of the Fatah Movement in Italy, called on the Italian government and European countries that do not recognize the State of Palestine to acknowledge the Palestinian state. He demanded that anyone proven to be involved in selling weapons to the occupation be brought to Italian court and called for the cessation of the production of "death factories" that supply the occupation with weapons documented to have been used in the aggression against Gaza, according to a verified report from an Italian organization. Dr. Ali emphasized the necessity of continuing popular activities and movements in Europe in support of Palestinian national rights, stressing that peace cannot be achieved as long as the occupation exists and the independent Palestinian state with its capital in East Jerusalem is not established, while ensuring the right of return for Palestinian refugees. Also participating in the demonstration were the President of the Palestinian Community in Rome, Youssef Salman, and Dr. Ghada Shihadeh, along with representatives from Italian parties and organizations in solidarity with the Palestinian people. The Mayor of Colleferro also attended and expressed his support for the demonstrators' demands and the Palestinian people's right to freedom and justice.
