Death of a man and a woman in a traffic accident near "Ashdod"
SadaNews - A man and a woman lost their lives in a horrific traffic accident that occurred on Highway 42 near the city of Ashdod, late Saturday – Sunday.
The accident was caused by a head-on collision between two vehicles, which resulted in one catching fire and the other overturning on the road.
The occupying police claimed to have initiated investigation procedures.
According to official data issued by the "National Authority for Road Safety", 369 people, including 111 Arab citizens, have died in traffic accidents on various roads since the beginning of the current year 2025 until today.
It is noteworthy that 439 people, including 162 Arab citizens, lost their lives in traffic accidents during the previous year 2024. Meanwhile, 361 people, including 98 Arab citizens, were killed in traffic accidents during the year 2023.
In 2022, 352 people died in traffic accidents, while in 2021, 369 people lost their lives, compared to 306 victims in 2020, and 355 in 2019.
Regarding victims from the Arab community, 115 Arab citizens were killed in traffic accidents in 2022, 109 in 2021, 99 in 2020, and 110 in 2019.
