Mustafa Discusses Latest Developments with Chairman of Defense Committee in German Parliament

SadaNews - Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa discussed the latest developments in Palestine, particularly regarding the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and recovery and reconstruction plans with the Chairman of the Defense Committee in the German Parliament, Thomas Rufikamp.

During his meeting with Rufikamp at his office in Ramallah today, Wednesday, in the presence of the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Stefan Salama, the Prime Minister confirmed that more than just a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is required; it is necessary to move towards a comprehensive and sustainable end to the war, as well as recovery and reconstruction, ultimately achieving a two-state solution, peace, and stability in Palestine and the region as a whole.

Mustafa reviewed the executive program for the Arab recovery and reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip, which was supported by the European Union and the New York Declaration, encompassing 56 programs across 18 sectors and distributed over hundreds of projects. He appreciated Germany's efforts and its significant interest in participating in this regard, along with its ongoing support for the State of Palestine.

For his part, Rufikamp reaffirmed his country's unwavering position regarding the two-state solution, which forms the path to stability, peace, and security in the region, as well as ongoing support for the government's efforts in its development and institutional development program, highlighting the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries in many areas of mutual interest.
