The Bar Association Expresses Concern for the Life of Lawyer Khaled Abu Al-Hala Following His Injury in Occupation Prisons
SadaNews - The Bar Association stated on Tuesday evening that it is following with concern the news of the injury of lawyer Khaled Abu Al-Hala from Tulkarm, who has been detained in occupation prisons for several months, having been shot in the left thigh during one of the repression campaigns conducted by the repressive units of the occupation authorities against the detention room where the imprisoned lawyer Abu Al-Hala is located in the Nafha desert prison alongside several other prisoners.
The Association indicated that this blatant assault on the imprisoned lawyer Abu Al-Hala and the severe risk to his life falls under the categorization of organized war crimes being committed against Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons, confirming that these repressive measures, along with the living conditions and policies of starvation and medical neglect practiced by the occupation authorities against the prisoners, have led to the martyrdom of dozens of Palestinian prisoners over the past two years.
The Bar Association emphasized the necessity for the international community and relevant international institutions to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities in light of the severity of these crimes, categorizing them as organized crimes that constitute a direct affront to all relevant international norms and treaties, and the need to create a pressure situation to stop the continuous bleeding faced by Palestinian prisoners inside the walls of oppression and death.
