Palestinian Embassy Participates in Arab and Islamic Meetings and is Re-elected as Secretary-General of Islamic Cooperation Ambassadors in Hungary

SadaNews - The Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Dr. Fadi Al-Husseini, participated in the meeting of the Arab Ambassadors Council in Hungary, where the Palestinian issue was the central focus of the discussions. The Arab ambassadors expressed their hope for the continuation of the ceasefire and the initiation of arrangements for the successive phases of the agreement, which should lead to the realization of the Palestinian state on its national soil.

On another note, Ambassador Al-Husseini participated in the meeting of the ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries in Hungary, which included the reformation of the executive office. The Pakistani ambassador, Asif Memon, was elected as president, the Sudanese ambassador, Siddiq Abdullah, as vice president, the Palestinian ambassador, Dr. Fadi Al-Husseini, as secretary-general, and the Indonesian ambassador, Penny Hirsati, as treasurer. The Palestinian issue was the main focus of the discussions. The meeting also approved several activities aimed at promoting the Palestinian narrative in Hungary through meetings and events. Cultural activities reflecting the culture and civilization of Islamic countries were also agreed upon.

It is worth mentioning that the group of ambassadors of the OIC countries in Hungary was established at the initiative of the State of Palestine's embassy in Hungary last year, after an absence of more than 13 years. At that time, the ambassador from Tunisia was chosen as president, the ambassador from Pakistan as his deputy, the ambassador from Palestine as secretary-general, and the ambassador from Iraq as treasurer.
