Barhom Discusses Means to Support and Assist Higher Education in Gaza with University Presidents
SadaNews - Today, Tuesday, Minister of Education and Higher Education Amjad Barhom discussed via video conference with the presidents of universities in the Gaza Strip the ways to enhance support and assistance for higher education in the sector, especially following the devastating genocide war launched by the occupation against Gaza and its catastrophic effects on academic institutions and educational infrastructure.
During the meeting, they discussed joint efforts to assist higher education in Gaza and ensure the continuation of the educational process, as well as coordinating arrangements for the start of the new academic year, coinciding with the announcement of the results of the general secondary examination for students in Gaza today, who sat for the exams under harsh and exceptional conditions amid war and destruction.
Minister Barhom affirmed the ministry's commitment to providing all possible forms of support to higher education institutions in the sector, enabling them to resume their academic and administrative operations, praising the resilience of the academic community and students and their determination to continue education despite the significant challenges.
