Interior Minister and Jericho Governor Inspect the General Authority for Crossings and Borders
SadaNews - The General Authority for Crossings and Borders received today Interior Minister Major General Ziad Habbash accompanied by Jericho and the Jordan Valley Governor Dr. Hussein Hamayel, on a field visit to check on the work progress at the crossings and assess the needs of the teams working there.
They were welcomed by Ameen Qandeel, the acting head of the General Authority for Crossings and Borders, along with directors of the security and civil agencies operating at the crossings, where he provided them with an explanation of the work mechanisms and procedures followed to facilitate passenger movement, and the challenges faced by the authority's teams under the current circumstances.
During the tour, the minister praised the efforts of the authority and its teams in organizing travel movement, affirming the ministry's support for developing infrastructure and improving services provided to citizens. The governor also commended the performance of the workers, noting the importance of enhancing joint cooperation to ensure the smooth and efficient continuation of operations.
At the end of the visit, Ameen Qandeel expressed his gratitude to the minister and the governor for this visit, which reflects the Palestinian leadership's commitment to supporting the crossings sector and enhancing the services provided to travelers.
