Trump Receives Netanyahu Amid Anticipation of Potential Gaza Deal
SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House this evening, amid anticipation of the significance of the meeting, which comes under an American plan regarding the future of the Gaza Strip.
Prior to receiving Netanyahu, Trump made a call to the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
During the reception of Netanyahu, Trump, in response to a question from journalists in front of the White House about whether he was confident about the possibility of reaching a deal, simply replied with "Yes."
Trump will hold a closed meeting with Netanyahu in the presence of U.S. envoy Steve Whitekoff, as well as his former advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner, along with Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer.
A lunch will be organized for both sides before a later press conference.
