Casualties in Russia Following Ukrainian Attack on Crimea
SadaNews - Sergey Aksyonov, the head of the Crimea Peninsula appointed by Russian authorities, stated that an attack carried out by Ukraine using drones on a resort area in the peninsula resulted in the death of three people and injuries to 16.
Russia, which annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 amid international condemnation, condemned the attack, labeling it a terrorist act.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said, "In a resort area of Crimea where there are absolutely no military targets, the Ukrainian armed forces launched a terrorist attack using drones equipped with high-explosive payloads."
Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, also condemned the attack, calling it "another terrorist act by the Kyiv regime."
She told the TASS news agency, "NATO and the European Union, in their search for the aggressor in Europe, should look in the mirror to realize that."
She added that NATO and the European Union are leading efforts to destabilize and spread terrorism in Europe due to their support for the Kyiv regime and provision of arms, according to her.
No comments have yet been issued by Ukrainian officials regarding this supposed attack, and there are no reports about the attack from independent sources.
