97 Palestinians Died in Road Accidents Since the Beginning of 2025
SadaNews - Data and statistics published by the "Road Safety Authority" in the occupied territories indicate that 318 people, including 97 citizens from the Arab community, have lost their lives in road accidents on various streets since the beginning of this year 2025 to date.
In this context, Ahmad Khasakya, in his forties and a resident of the city of Tira in the triangular area, died last night (Monday) in a road accident that occurred on Highway 20 in Tel Aviv, in the center of the country, after being struck by a truck while riding a motorcycle.
The ambulance crew reported that "the injured person was lying on the street unconscious and without any signs of life. We conducted the necessary examinations, but his injuries were extremely critical, and we had no choice but to declare his death at the scene."
The occupying police claimed that they had opened a file to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
For comparison, 437 people, including 162 Arab citizens, lost their lives in road accidents on various streets during the previous year 2024. In 2023, 356 people, including 98 Arab citizens, lost their lives in road accidents on various streets in the country.
Additionally, 352 people died in road accidents during the year 2022, 369 in 2021, 306 in 2020, and 355 victims in 2019. In 2022, 115 Arab citizens lost their lives in road accidents, and in 2021, 109 Arab citizens died, with 99 victims in 2020 and 110 victims in 2019.
