Four People Killed in Russian Airstrike in Eastern Ukraine
SadaNews - Four people, including three children, were killed in a Russian airstrike that targeted the city of Bohodukhiv in eastern Ukraine, according to a Ukrainian official on Wednesday.
The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Sinegubov, explained that the two children were one year old, and a two-year-old girl was also killed in the strike, and a man in his mid-thirties who lived with them later died from his injuries.
An elderly woman who was receiving medical care was injured in the attack, as well as a 35-year-old pregnant woman who was also hurt.
Bohodukhiv is located in the Kharkiv region, where Russian forces have recently intensified their attacks on transportation and energy infrastructure.
As part of diplomatic efforts, Ukrainian and Russian officials held U.S.-mediated talks in Abu Dhabi aimed at ending the ongoing four-year war, and a prisoner exchange took place last week, but reaching a comprehensive agreement remains elusive.
According to the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, about 15,000 civilians have been killed since the Russian invasion in February 2022, with 2025 being the deadliest year, as civilian casualties exceeded 2,500 people.
