Palestinian Flags Wave in Helsingborg, Sweden, in Protest Against the Massacres and Starvation of Children in Gaza

SadaNews - Popular events in the city of Helsingborg, Sweden, organized a massive public march that traversed the main streets of the city, denouncing the massacres and the war of starvation being perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against our people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem, with full support from the United States.

Participants in the march raised Palestinian flags and banners calling for an immediate halt to the aggression and for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid including food, water, medicine, and fuel to save our people from the humanitarian catastrophe. They also held photos of the children who have fallen victim to the aggression, as well as images of the destruction that has affected residential buildings and hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

The demonstrators praised our people’s resilience and their brave resistance in the face of attempts at forced displacement and the re-enactment of the Nakba of 1948, affirming their rejection of the occupation's plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and preventing the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

At the conclusion of the march, Joran Martinson, a member of the municipal council from the Conservative Party in Helsingborg, delivered a speech in which he saluted the Palestinian people and their just struggle for freedom and independence, condemning the crimes of the occupation and the genocide being inflicted upon our people. He urged the Swedish government to take urgent action to stop the aggression and to work on boycotting and punishing Israel for its crimes, calling for the escalation of popular movements to pressure decision-makers to take practical stances that defend the Palestinian people.

Ms. Josefine Lindz from the "Friends of Palestine" group also spoke, greeting the Palestinian people's resilience and calling on the international community to take responsibility and pressure the occupying government to stop the ongoing massacres in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.

The event concluded with a performance by several children titled "Give Us Childhood," along with a theatrical presentation depicting the suffering of the Palestinian people under continuous bombardment and daily aggression.
