The Public Prosecution Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Public Prosecution in the Sultanate of Oman to Enhance Judicial Cooperation
SadaNews - The Public Prosecution of the State of Palestine, represented by Attorney General Akram Al-Khatib, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Public Prosecution in the dear Sultanate of Oman, represented by His Excellency Attorney General Nasr bin Khamis Al-Sawafi, on the sidelines of the fifth annual meeting of the Arab Attorney General Association held in Dhofar Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman.
This memorandum aims to establish frameworks for judicial cooperation between the Palestinian Public Prosecution and the Omani Public Prosecution, through the exchange of expertise and enhancement of coordination in combating organized and transnational crime, which contributes to developing the judicial system and improving the effectiveness of criminal justice.
Attorney General Akram Al-Khatib emphasized that this understanding reflects the willingness of the Palestinian Public Prosecution to face the challenges posed by the realities of occupation and its complexities, through openness to brothers and strengthening the bridges of judicial cooperation with them. He stressed that the Public Prosecution bears a professional and national responsibility to uphold the rule of law, protect rights and freedoms, and enhance the criminal justice system in line with the aspirations of our people for freedom, dignity, and the establishment of the institutions of a state governed by law.
