SadaNews - The Saudi Professional League Association took a surprising step by removing the regulatory list of the Roshen League from its website, following formal objections from more than 12 clubs regarding some controversial clauses.
The newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that the association removed the regulatory list from its website this morning, "Thursday", noting that the main points of contention were found in Article 15, which states that a player is only allowed to participate with one club from the beginning of the league until the second registration period (the winter transfer window).
Clubs considered this a barrier to registering players who transferred during the summer transfer market.
The newspaper confirmed that the association will make extensive amendments to the list before redistributing it to the clubs, after the previous version caused significant discontent upon its release.
The new season of the Saudi Roshen League is set to kick off today, Thursday, August 28, with Damak facing Al-Hazm in the opening match, while a strong confrontation is set to take place in Jeddah between Al-Ahli and Neom.
