Occupation forces demolish homes in the Negev area of occupied territories
SadaNews - Israeli authorities' machinery and bulldozers demolished homes belonging to the Abu Judou family and facilities belonging to the Al-Nasayra family in the unrecognized village of Al-Sar, located on the outskirts of Shaqib al-Salam town in the Negev, southern occupied Palestine, this morning, Monday, under the pretext of construction without permits.
Demolition vehicles entered the area under the protection of an increased presence of Israeli police forces and their affiliated units, who surrounded the demolition site and prevented residents from entering.
This demolition comes amid the lack of expansion of planning maps for Arab towns for over three years and the rising frequency of demolition operations specifically in the Negev area, which increased by 400% over the last year 2024, according to official data.
Israeli authorities continue to demolish homes, commercial shops, and industrial workshops in Arab towns under the pretext of lack of permits, as seen in Rahat, Tubas al-Zangariya, Jdeida al-Makr, Yirka, al-Zarzir, Akka, Nazareth, Umm al-Fahm, Shefa-Amr, Sakhnin, Ein Mahl, Jaffa, Kfar Qasem, Qalansuwa, Kfar Yasif, Araara, Lod, Harifesh, Kfar Qari, and Arab towns in the Negev area, among others.
