Sheikh Receives Phone Call from Oman's Foreign Minister to Discuss Developments in Palestine
SadaNews - The Vice President of the State of Palestine, Hussein Sheikh, conducted a phone call with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman, during which they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, particularly in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and the serious escalation in the West Bank, including attempts of forced displacement that the Palestinian leadership categorically rejects.
Sheikh emphasized the necessity of enhancing Arab and international efforts to build on the growing momentum, in preparation for holding an international peace conference in New York during the activities of the United Nations General Assembly next September, aimed at achieving the aspirations of the Palestinian people for freedom and independence and the recognition of member states of the State of Palestine.
Sheikh expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, as well as to the government and people of the Sultanate of Oman, for their steadfast and principled positions in support of the Palestinian cause.
Both sides stressed the depth of the historical and brotherly relations that bind the State of Palestine and the Sultanate of Oman, and the necessity of continuing coordination and mutual consultation in regional and international forums.
