Health Ministry: 6000 Blood Units Arrived in Gaza Today
SadaNews - 6000 blood units and their derivatives arrived in Gaza today, Monday evening, donated by our people in the northern governorates, as part of the seventh round of the "Our Blood is One" campaign, organized by the ministry last week, in support of our people in the southern governorates.
The blood shipment arrived at the warehouses of the World Health Organization in Deir al-Balah, and efforts are underway to distribute it by the health ministry's teams to the hospitals in the sector based on quantity and need.
The shipment was transported from the West Bank to Gaza, in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO), adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety, and within the necessary cold chain to ensure the safety of blood units and their secure arrival.
Health Minister Dr. Majid Abu Ramadan stated: "In all blood donation rounds, the people of our northern governorates reaffirm their solidarity and their great humanitarian stance in supporting our brothers in the southern governorates, and we are proud of that, and this effort drives us for more work and giving."
The health minister added: "Great thanks to the health and technical teams and volunteers, who collected, stored, and transported the units with precision and responsibility, and to the World Health Organization for contributing to the completion of this work."
Assistant Undersecretary for Support Medical Services, Mr. Osama Al-Najjar: "This blood shipment greatly helps in supporting the treatment of our wounded and sick in Gaza, and this round will be followed by other rounds as needed."
