
A Boy Killed in a Shooting Incident in Abu Sinan in the Occupied Territories
SadaNews - The young man Muhammad Hijab (19 years old) from the village of Sheikh Danon in the Galilee region, northern occupied Palestine, was killed late Sunday night in a shooting incident in the town of Abu Sinan.
Medical teams reported that they provided first aid to the victim, whose condition was described as critical, and he was transported to the Galilee Medical Center for intensive treatment, where he was later pronounced dead.
This crime comes amid ongoing incidents of armed violence in Arab towns, with calls to stop the bloodshed and enhance security.
In Abu Sinan, a 35-year-old woman was also killed as a result of being shot in the town, according to medical teams.
The victim of this crime was identified as the young woman Sherihan Mashlab, while a state of tension has prevailed in Abu Sinan due to the continuing surge of murders affecting the Arab community without deterrence.
151 Killed from the Arab Community Since the Beginning of the Year
Arab citizens in the country continue to suffer from the lack of security and safety amid the rise and escalation of murder and violence crimes. Meanwhile, the police are failing to fulfill their role in curtailing crime and violence in the Arab community.
The death toll has risen since the beginning of the year to 151, including 15 women and a young man from Jerusalem. It was found that 131 of the victims were killed by gunfire, and 75 of them were under the age of 30, including 3 who were killed before reaching 18, while 9 were killed by the police.
This year has recorded a 13% increase in the number of victims of violence compared to the same period last year when the number of victims reached 133.
The year 2024 has recorded 221 deaths in the Arab community, compared to 222 murder cases recorded in 2023.
