Solidarity Statement with Our People in Gaza Issued by the Arab Doctors and Pharmacists Union in Austria

SadaNews - In light of the ongoing humanitarian tragedy and the brutal aggression faced by our people in the besieged Gaza Strip, which has resulted in thousands of martyrs and wounded, systematic destruction of infrastructure, hospitals, schools, and the targeting of unarmed civilians including women, children, and the elderly – we at the Arab Doctors and Pharmacists Union in Austria stand with honor, duty, and responsibility to express: 1. Our complete and absolute solidarity with our people in Gaza, who endure in the face of the killing, starvation, and siege machine under catastrophic health and humanitarian conditions, amid international impotence and disgraceful silence from the international community and humanitarian institutions. 2. Our strong condemnation of the ongoing barbaric aggression, which constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and all norms that criminalize the targeting of civilians and health and relief facilities. 3. Our call to the international community and medical and humanitarian bodies in Austria, Europe, and the world, to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities towards a people being exterminated before the eyes of the world, and to exert immediate pressure to stop the aggression, lift the siege, and urgently deliver medical and humanitarian aid. 4. Our demand to the Arab and Muslim communities in Austria and Europe, to intensify popular, media, and legal efforts, organize support and relief campaigns, and exercise civil and peaceful pressure on governments to stop complicity or silence. 5. Our affirmation that Gaza is not alone, and that our voices as doctors and pharmacists, even if we are not on the ground, will not cease to demand justice, freedom, and the right to a decent life for our people in Palestine. In conclusion, we pledge to God and our people that we will remain in the trenches of word, stance, and assistance, and that we will be an active part of the voice of human conscience in the face of this ongoing crime.
