Foundation Committee Meeting for Unifying Palestinian Communities in Turkey and Northern Cyprus and Election of Murad Al-Jiyousi as President Unanimously

SadaNews - The city of Eskişehir, Turkey, witnessed the convening of the foundation committee for unifying Palestinian communities in Turkey and Northern Cyprus at the beginning of this week. This qualitative national meeting gathered representatives from twelve Palestinian communities across various Turkish states, along with notable attendance from several Turkish official and community figures, as well as prominent Palestinian figures from different sectors.

This foundational meeting was a culmination of continuous and sincere efforts to unify the Palestinian house in Turkey and Northern Cyprus, establishing a unified community that represents the Palestinian people across the Turkish geography and works on serving their issues and enhancing their national and cultural identity in the diaspora.

In a step reflecting the spirit of consensus and responsibility, Mr. Murad Al-Jiyousi was unanimously elected as the President of the Palestinian community in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. The community's management committee was elected as follows:

Amjad Taha: Vice President of the Community / Northern Cyprus

Youssef Mazyan: Vice President of the Community / Turkey

Bashar Al-Barghouthi: Financial Office Manager

Asem Mustafa: Media Office Manager and Secretary of the Management Committee


At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants expressed their deep pride in the Palestine Liberation Organization, the legitimate and sole representative of the Palestinian people, affirming that this organizational step is an expression of national belonging and strengthens the unity of the Palestinian front in the diaspora.
