Gaza Health: Unprecedented Figures Recorded in "Acute Flaccid Paralysis"
SadaNews - The Gaza Ministry of Health announced this evening, Tuesday, that 45 cases of acute flaccid paralysis have been recorded during the months of June and July 2025, marking an unprecedented rise in such cases.
The ministry stated in a statement that, with the lack of diagnostic capabilities, these cases could be polio cases or Guillain-Barré syndrome cases.
It indicated that this increase is attributed to the catastrophic environmental and health conditions experienced by the residents of the Gaza Strip, including: water pollution, the collapse of sewage services, waste accumulation, and the spread of infectious diseases, in addition to malnutrition and weakened immunity.
The ministry called on the international community, international institutions, and humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately to halt the aggression, save the collapsing health system, and improve living conditions.
