"The Foreign Ministry": Appeals Do Not Exempt the International Community from Its Responsibility to Stop Famine and Aggression
SadaNews - On Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasized that the international community's complacency in addressing the crimes of genocide, forced displacement, and annexation perpetrated by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people is providing silent cover for these violations and encouraging their continuation and escalation. The ministry pointed to the worsening catastrophic conditions in the Gaza Strip and the terror faced by Palestinians from settlers, particularly in the towns of Beit Ein and Masafer Yatta.
The ministry confirmed in its statement that the responsibility of the international community does not stop at merely describing the crimes and violations, but requires immediate and binding actions that compel the occupation to halt its aggression and comply with international law, including the protection of Palestinian civilians and ensuring their political and humanitarian rights.
The ministry called for a deterrent international movement that translates repeated positions and condemnations into tangible actions that stop the genocidal actions and annexation, warning that complacency in the performance of the international community's responsibilities opens the door to the spread of the "law of the jungle" at the expense of international legitimacy.
The Foreign Ministry concluded its statement by affirming that the silence of the world cannot be considered neutrality, but rather an indirect participation in the continuation of the suffering and humanitarian disaster faced by the Palestinian people.
