Ben Gvir's Visit Sparks Widespread Anger in Dabburiya: "Killer and Racist"

SadaNews - The unannounced visit by Israeli Minister of National Security, extremist Itamar Ben Gvir, on Monday evening to the village of Dabburiya in the eastern Galilee within the occupied territories, has sparked a wave of public anger and rejection.

A protest was held in the vicinity of the site that Ben Gvir visited, organized by activists from the village, during which they expressed their rejection of the visit through slogans labeling Ben Gvir as "racist" and "killer".

Social activist Abdul Musalha stated in a statement to the "Arab 48" website that the visit occurred without coordination with any local parties, was quick and unexpected, describing it as akin to "night bat visits".

He added that the reception of the minister was limited to a small number of individuals, emphasizing that the general stance in Dabburiya was completely against the visit.

Musalha clarified that the visit took place amidst tight security measures, and the protesters did not hesitate to chant directly at Ben Gvir, whom they described as a criminal, noting a clear change in his facial expression upon hearing the chants.

He stated: "All components of the town denounce this visit, especially at this specific time, when people are dying of hunger in Gaza."

Musalha concluded by saying that this visit does not reflect the stance of the family that received the minister, but represents an individual position that does not enjoy social support or acceptance.

It is worth mentioning that Ben Gvir made a similar visit to the city of Nazareth on April 8 of the past year, which was described as provocative and sparked a wave of outrage among the residents.
