The US Army Completes Latest Round of Strikes on Iran
SadaNews: The US Army announced today, Thursday, that it has completed its latest round of strikes against Iran, which was ordered by President Donald Trump for the twelfth consecutive night.
Specifically, the US Central Command "CENTCOM" announced the conclusion of a new wave of airstrikes carried out by American forces against Iran, marking the twelfth consecutive night of military operations.
CENTCOM stated in a statement that the round ended at 10:30 PM Eastern Time and targeted Iranian military sites, including naval facilities, missile and drone storage, coastal observation sites, and air defense systems.
It added that the strikes aim to weaken Iran's ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels traversing the waters of the region.
The command noted that American forces have targeted dozens of Iranian military sites this month, coinciding with the resumption of the maritime blockade imposed on Iran.
CENTCOM emphasized that more than 50,000 American troops are deployed throughout the Middle East, in a state of high alert and readiness, according to the German news agency.
