Polling stations open their doors for voters to elect a new head for the local council in Tuba Zangaria
SadaNews - Polling stations have opened to select a new head for the local council in the village of Tuba Zangaria, allowing eligible voters to cast their votes today, Tuesday, starting at 07:00 AM until the closing time at 10:00 PM.
The special elections are being conducted following a decision from the Ministry of Interior to elect a new head for the local council in the village of Tuba Zangaria, located northeast of the Sea of Galilee, in the northern part of the country.
Contenders for the council head include: Muayyad Haib, Munir Haib, and Amer Haib.
According to available information, the number of eligible voters in Tuba Zangaria has reached 5,135 as of today, distributed across 8 polling stations in the town.
These elections are organized following the resignation of the previous council head, according to the Local Authorities Law (election of the head and his deputies and the duration of their term).
