Ambassador Shalabi Holds Diplomatic Meetings in Jeddah to Enhance Humanitarian Support for Palestine

SadaNews - On Wednesday, July 9, 2025, His Excellency Ambassador Hadi Shibli, the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, received His Excellency Ambassador Turko Daudov, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation Mission Observing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, at the Permanent Mission of the State of Palestine to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations, the latest political developments, and the pivotal role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation regarding the Palestinian issue. Ambassador Hadi praised the steadfast position of the Russian Federation in support of the Palestinian cause.

For his part, the Russian representative emphasized the importance of intensifying the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's efforts regarding the Palestinian issue, especially given the current circumstances, expressing hope for an end to the crimes in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Askar Tabov, Deputy Representative, and Mr. Artyom Khannani, Head of Protocol at the Russian Federation Mission Observing the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as First Counselor Naseem Al-Za'anin, Deputy Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine, along with Ms. Hadeel Al-Najjar from the Permanent Mission of the State of Palestine.

Ambassador Shibli also met with Mr. Mohammed bin Salman Aba Al-Khail, Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the headquarters of the Islamic Solidarity Fund in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They discussed ways to coordinate and cooperate between the Permanent Mission of the State of Palestine and the Islamic Solidarity Fund to continue the efforts made by the Fund to support small projects in the State of Palestine and explore ways to provide urgent assistance to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem. Attending the meeting was First Counselor Naseem Al-Za'anin, Deputy Permanent Representative.
