Martyrs Including Indonesian Hospital Director in Israeli Bombing on West Gaza

SadaNews - The director of the Indonesian hospital in the northern sector, Dr. Marwan Al-Sultan, was martyred on Wednesday along with several other Palestinians, and many injuries were reported due to an Israeli bombardment that targeted the surroundings of Roundabout 17, northwest of Gaza City. Medical sources reported that more than 50 people have been martyred as a result of Israeli fire and bombardment since dawn.

The Israeli army continues its war on the Gaza Strip for the 635th consecutive day, which Palestinian sources describe as a genocide against civilians, with the number of martyrs among women and children continuing to rise, and homes collapsing on top of their inhabitants amid ongoing bombardments targeting gatherings throughout the sector.

The Israeli warplanes conducted intensive airstrikes on homes in various areas of the besieged Gaza Strip, while the Israeli forces targeted groups of displaced people waiting for aid with bombings and live fire, resulting in martyrs and injuries.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army has expanded its operations in the northern sector, committing massacres described as crimes of mass murder against civilians by targeting homes crowded with families, alongside bombarding tents and gatherings of displaced people.

On the 107th day of the resumed assault, Israeli airstrikes targeted tents for displaced people in the Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis, following a bloody day in which 109 Palestinians were killed within the past 24 hours.

According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, the death toll has risen to 56,647 martyrs since the onset of the Israeli military aggression on October 7, 2023, along with 131,105 injured with various degrees of severity. The number of martyrs since March 18, 2025 alone stands at 6,315, in addition to 22,064 wounded.

Politically, efforts to reach a ceasefire are still stalled, amid the Israeli government's refusal and insistence on continuing operations to achieve what it considers the goal of ending resistance and displacing residents, despite repeated statements from U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the proximity of reaching an agreement.

In this context, Trump wrote in a post on his platform "Truth Social" that Israel had agreed to the necessary conditions to reach a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, indicating that Qatari and Egyptian mediators would present a final proposal. Trump added: "I hope Hamas accepts this agreement, because it will not improve; it will only get worse."
