The cost of building residential buildings in the West Bank recorded an increase of 0.21% during May 2026 compared to April 2026; the index of building costs for residential buildings rose to 121.19 compared to 120.94 in the previous month (base year 2013=100).

At the level of main groups, the rental equipment group saw an increase of 1.12%, and the raw materials and commodities group recorded an increase of 0.28%, while the labor costs and wages group remained stable during May 2026 compared to the previous month.

Increase in the Index of Building Costs for Non-Residential Buildings

The costs of building non-residential buildings in the West Bank recorded an increase of 0.16% during May 2026 compared to April 2026; the index of building costs for non-residential buildings rose to 119.97 compared to 119.78 in the previous month (base year 2013=100).

At the level of main groups, the rental equipment group saw an increase of 1.01%, and the raw materials and commodities group recorded an increase of 0.20%, while the labor costs and wages group remained stable during May 2026 compared to the previous month.

The cost of building structural buildings in the West Bank recorded an increase of 23.0% during May 2026 compared to April 2026; the index of building costs for structural buildings rose to 119.05 compared to 118.78 in the previous month (base year 2013=100).

At the level of main groups, the rental equipment group saw an increase of 1.11%, and the raw materials and commodities group recorded an increase of 0.29%, while the labor costs and wages group remained stable during May 2026 compared to the previous month.

Decrease in the Index of Costs for Road Construction

The costs of road construction in various types in the West Bank recorded a decrease of 0.23% during May 2026 compared to April 2026; the overall index of road construction costs fell to 125.97 compared to 126.26 in the previous month (base month December 2008=100).

At the level of main groups, the operating and maintenance costs of equipment recorded a decrease of 1.80%, the rental equipment group saw a decrease of 0.31%, and the raw materials and commodities group recorded a decrease of 0.26%, while the labor costs and wages group remained stable during May 2026 compared to the previous month.

Increase in the General Index of Costs for Water Network Construction

The costs of water network construction in the West Bank recorded an increase of 0.12% during May 2026 compared to April 2026; the index of water network construction costs rose to 132.99 compared to 132.83 in the previous month (base month January 2010=100).

At the level of water tank prices, the index recorded an increase of 0.37%, rising to 118.37 compared to 117.93 in the previous month, and the prices of water networks saw a slight increase of 0.02%, with the index rising to 139.64 compared to 139.61 in the previous month.
