Ramallah Municipality Signs Partnership Agreement with PalPay for 2026 Events

SadaNews - The Mayor of Ramallah, Issa Qasis, signed a partnership agreement with the General Manager of PalPay, Thaer Hamail, to sponsor the municipality's events and activities for the year 2026, as part of the partnership program with the private sector, where the company joins the list of partners that signed bundles of agreements with the municipality at the beginning of the year.

The partnering companies are distributed across four main bundles, which include:

Bundle One: Arab Bank, National Bank, Bank of Palestine, Palestinian Communications Group (Jawwal), National Beverages Company, Palestine Investment (Aybak), MADA Company.

Bundle Two: Cairo Amman Bank.

Bundle Three: PalPay, Bank of Jerusalem, Housing Bank, Palestinian Islamic Bank, Ooredoo, New Cash Company.

Bundle Four: Al-Mashriq Insurance Company, Mona and Basim Hashmeh Foundation, and Al-Huda Fuel Company.

Mayor Issa Qasis confirmed that the inclusion of PalPay in the partnership program for 2026 represents a qualitative addition to the municipality's efforts in developing its services and enhancing its community programs, pointing to the significance of this step in supporting the shift towards digital transformation and expanding cooperation with the private sector.

He added that this partnership reflects the municipality's commitment to building effective relationships that contribute to improving the quality of life in the city, by implementing initiatives and activities that serve citizens and promote sustainable development in Ramallah.

For his part, General Manager of PalPay, Thaer Hamail, stated that this partnership comes within the company's commitment to support digital transformation and enhance awareness of digital financial services in the community, emphasizing that the company's role is not limited to developing solutions but also includes active presence in community events and direct communication with the public to introduce electronic wallet services and their usage mechanisms.

Hamail added that the agreement aims to support the efforts of Ramallah Municipality in serving the community by participating in various events and programs, and contributing to spreading the culture of electronic payments and enhancing citizens' trust in digital services, noting that this collaboration embodies the importance of the integration of roles between the private sector and local authorities to build a more aware and prepared society for digital transformation.
