Venezuela: Death Toll from the Earthquakes Rises to 2,595
SadaNews - Delsi Rodriguez, the acting president of Venezuela, announced that the death toll from the two earthquakes, which caused widespread destruction in parts of the country, has risen to 2,595.
She clarified during a press conference that the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have offered to provide assistance and credit to support reconstruction efforts.
She added that Venezuela is working on establishing a $200 million reconstruction fund in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, and these funds will be directed to contractors to rebuild homes to replace those that were destroyed.
