Jerusalem Electricity Company Announces Reception of Applications for Rectifying Solar Energy Systems Until the End of August
SadaNews - In reference to the Cabinet's decision to approve the instructions for connecting renewable energy projects to the electricity networks under the Net Metering System No. (4) for the year 2025, and what was mentioned in the guideline issued by the Palestinian Electricity Regulatory Council, we would like to inform you of our reception of applications to rectify the status of solar energy systems, whether connected to the grid or integrated with storage systems (batteries), that were installed without obtaining the official approvals from the company according to the approved procedures detailed in the Cabinet's decision and related institutions. Therefore, we urge our esteemed clients to take the initiative to submit related applications in order to rectify the technical conditions of these systems, paving the way for an official inspection by specialized company crews until the date of 31/8/2026. After this deadline, any system that has not obtained prior approval from the company will be considered as tampering with the electricity network, and necessary legal actions will be taken against it in accordance with the applicable regulations and laws, without the company bearing any responsibility for these systems. For more information, you can refer to the company's specialized departments in the branches or by phone at 022947650/026269333 or through the dedicated email.
