Arab Bank Signs Cooperation Agreement with Rawaan Association for Child Development

SadaNews - The Arab Bank announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Rawaan Association for Child Development, a non-profit charity focused on developing inclusive educational interventions for children aged 3 to 18 who suffer from academic and developmental learning difficulties. The agreement aims to support the association's efforts in providing therapeutic and rehabilitative services to children, as part of the Arab Bank's corporate social responsibility program "Together," which places particular emphasis on supporting purposeful community initiatives and enhancing services provided to the most needy groups.

Under the agreement, the Arab Bank will cover the costs of therapy and rehabilitation for 20 children from low-income families over the course of a whole year, ensuring that they receive necessary therapeutic and rehabilitative services for learning difficulties, speech disorders, hyperactivity, and attention deficit. This support reflects the bank's commitment to contributing to improving the quality of life for children and enabling them to develop their capabilities and integrate effectively into society, especially in light of the difficult economic conditions that may impede the completion of their treatment.

In this context, Dr. Jamal Hourani, Director of Palestine Area at the Arab Bank, confirmed that this agreement aligns with the bank's vision of supporting and caring for less fortunate segments of society and enhancing the role of community institutions specialized in providing social and rehabilitative services that contribute to building a better future for children with special needs.

For his part, Engineer Nabil Domra, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Rawaan Association for Child Development, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the Arab Bank, indicating that this collaboration will significantly contribute to the development of services provided to children with academic and developmental learning difficulties, and provides a supportive environment that helps their integration and progress on various levels.

It is worth noting that the Arab Bank adopts a comprehensive and integrated strategy in the field of sustainability and corporate social responsibility, stemming from its keenness to achieve a tangible positive impact on both the economic and social levels, alongside its commitment to sustainable environmental practices. The "Together" corporate social responsibility program embodies this approach by supporting a range of diverse initiatives and activities that contribute to serving vital sectors including education, health, poverty alleviation, environmental protection, women's empowerment, and orphan care, through collaborative efforts with local community institutions.
