Palestine Bank Signs Strategic Partnership Agreement with the Palestinian Economic Policy Research Institute "Mas"

SadaNews - On Thursday, February 19, 2026, Palestine Bank signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Palestinian Economic Policy Research Institute "Mas" to support research projects and enhance the development of information and media outlets for the institute, contributing to the production of economic knowledge and strengthening the role of scientific research in serving sustainable development.

The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the bank's general administration in Ramallah, by Mahmoud Al-Shawa, the General Manager of Palestine Bank, and Firas Malhim, the General Manager of "Mas", in the presence of a number of directors and officials from both sides.

The agreement stipulates the enhancement of cooperation in preparing specialized studies and applied research, organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs related to economic and financial issues, in addition to developing joint knowledge initiatives that contribute to supporting the economic decision-making process. This partnership reflects the bank's interest in supporting scientific research and promoting sustainability and social responsibility, demonstrating its role as an active partner in developing the economic knowledge system at both the institutional and national levels.

In this context, Al-Shawa expressed the bank's pride in this partnership, emphasizing that supporting national research institutions is a fundamental pillar in efforts to promote sustainable development. He stated: "Palestine Bank believes in the pivotal role that research centers play in producing rigorous economic knowledge and providing the necessary scientific analysis for formulating effective economic policies, contributing to supporting development pathways and enhancing economic stability." He added that this agreement will open broader horizons for cooperation and exchange of expertise between the banking sector and research institutions, strengthening the establishment of a knowledge base that supports data-driven economic planning and scientific analysis.

For his part, Malhim confirmed that this partnership represents a strategic step towards enhancing the institute's capacity to implement its research programs and expand its knowledge production, noting that the agreement will contribute to supporting applied research and developing the institute's information and media platforms, serving researchers and decision-makers, enhancing knowledge-based economic discussion, and contributing to supporting sustainable development efforts in Palestine.
