Palestine Bank Supports the 15th Edition of the United Nations Simulation Conference (PalMUN)
SadaNews - Palestine Bank, the strategic partner of the United Nations Simulation Conference (PalMUN) in Palestine, has provided its support for the launch of the 15th edition of the program during an event held at the Ramallah Cultural Palace, organized by the Friends School.
This year, the conference was held under the slogan "Documenting truth is not just a phrase but a responsibility," with the participation of over 800 students from 18 schools across the various provinces of the homeland, aged between 13 and 17 years, aiming to instill constructive thinking through diverse opinions, enhance dialogue, and narrow the gap of differences, alongside contributing to the preparation of a generation of future leaders.

The conference, which continued its activities over three days, was distinguished by in-depth dialogues and innovative ideas that opened new horizons for the participants, alongside inspiring human connections that enhanced the spirit of cooperation and belonging, gathering hundreds of students from multiple schools in a unique and exceptional Palestinian experience.
Mr. Mahmoud Al-Shawa, General Manager of Palestine Bank, expressed his pride in supporting this program aimed at educating participants about the tasks and responsibilities of the United Nations General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, and the United Nations Development Program, in addition to the mechanisms of these bodies and their decisions, which enhances students' knowledge and enables them to understand the foreign policies of countries, and to delve into their orientations, alliances, and agreements.
Al-Shawa confirmed that Palestine Bank's support for this program and other initiatives comes as part of the bank's strategy to embrace entrepreneurial ideas in various fields, emphasizing the bank's ongoing support for initiatives that develop tools to empower youth, and encourage them to launch innovative projects and ideas that contribute to addressing social challenges and enhancing communication channels among Palestinian youth as a driving force for sustainable development.
For her part, Ms. Rania Ma'ayia, Director of Friends School, extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to Palestine Bank for its continuous support for this vital program over the past years, which seeks to build constructive intellectual bridges between different opinions, bring closer viewpoints, and prepare future youth leaders.
Ma'ayia pointed out that the United Nations Simulation Program represents a pioneering platform for discussing global issues, analyzing their backgrounds, and crystallizing practical solutions to various challenges, by gathering information and benefiting from international experiences, alongside introducing participants to the procedures and rules of United Nations sessions, culminating in the final sessions crowned by the voting process on the resolutions.
During the conference, participants embodied the roles of representatives of countries and international organizations by delivering official speeches, engaging in heated debates and discussions, formulating pivotal solutions and decisions, and forming alliances that serve the interests of the countries they represent, in a true simulation of the roles of politicians and diplomats.
It is worth mentioning that the United Nations Simulation Program is a cultural initiative prepared and implemented by students of Friends School in collaboration with other schools, aimed at finding solutions to priority global issues.
